$17,122.53 RECENTLY SPENT on 2 OWNER CALIFORNIA TR4 Roadster
This ROCK solid two owner TR4 arrived at our facility after a truck ride from San Luis Obispo California, decades long home of the TR4(car sold new in Santa Barbara where it resided for years).I was immediately impressed with the mechanical condition of the car.The engine started immediately, every time with a sewing machine smoothness of the rugged Triumph engine. The suspension felt tight, the brakes correct, the transmission quiet, clutch good,it did everything right. This was impressive.Several days later the title and service tickets arrived and in the stack of receipts was a $17122.53 service ticket for general refurbishing of three pages of items.Major engine and transmission work was NOT on this ticket, just bumper to bumper items,i.e.tie rod ends, wheel seals, dimmer switch, and on and on and on it went.Confirming the reason the car felt so good(Happy to scan and send this receipt to interested parties). The car is in excellent mechanical condition.Great driving Roadster.
The paint was refinished in the 70s of original color.Car looks good driving down the road, sitting in the driveway but up close it has chips, years of patina. One can clearly see from pictures the interior is exceptional, the top as new, service tickets to support the top notch mechanics,no rust or accident history, and older paint.
The car will make a great driver with a refresh on the paint in the future. One would have a very high integrity car to drive as is or for a future refurbish.
